Shaheen Campaign Launches Bipartisan Truth Team to Counteract False Sununu Ads that Distort his Record

(Manchester, NH) - As the fall campaign heats up, John Sununu's campaign and his outside front groups are expected to air false ads that distort his record and spread false, negative attacks against Governor Shaheen. The Jeanne Shaheen for Senate campaign today launched a new group, the Truth Team, that will counteract these ads and set the record straight. Sununu's political allies and front groups have already spent more than $1.5 million attacking Gov. Shaheen because they know Sununu can't win by running on his record of voting 90% of the time with George Bush and marching in lockstep with Bush's failed economic agenda.


"John Sununu and his political buddies spend will millions of dollars to distort Sununu's disastrous record of supporting George Bush's failed economic agenda," said Shaheen for Senate communications director Kate Bedingfield. "The Truth Team is a resource for reporters and voters to get the facts and learn the truth. The choice in this senate race is between John Sununu's record of marching in lockstep with George Bush's failed economic agenda and Jeanne Shaheen' promise of a new direction -- and Sununu's millions can't distract from that fact."

When Sununu and his outside front groups attempt to distort Sununu's record of standing with George Bush 90% of the time and falsely attack Governor Shaheen, the Truth Team will expose his real record.
