Shaheen campaign sets record straight on difference between what Sununu says in New Hampshire and what he does in Washington
(Manchester, NH) – National Republicans today released another desperate attack ad distorting Jeanne Shaheen's record as Governor in an attempt to distract from John Sununu's record of standing with George Bush on failed economic policies that have exploded our debt and deficit and devastated the economy for New Hampshire's families and small businesses.
"According to the national Republican committee, it's not what our leaders say that matters, it's what they do," said Kate Bedingfield, communications director for Jeanne Shaheen for Senate. "We couldn't agree more, because John Sununu has spent the last 12 years in Congress telling families in New Hampshire that he supports fiscal responsibility while voting in Washington for reckless spending that's doubled our national debt, tax breaks for billion-dollar oil companies and companies that ship jobs overseas, and against allowing Medicare to negotiate for the lowest prescription drug prices. If we want fiscal responsibility in Washington, we need a new Senator."
