Who's Prospering?: Shaheen For Senate Releases Web Ad Asking Who John Sununu Is Refering To In His New Television Ad
Monday October 13, 2008

(Manchester, NH) – Today, Jeanne Shaheen for Senate released a new web video entitled "Who's Prospering?," which asks John Sununu exactly who he is referring to in his new ad when he asserts that people are "prospering."  With 159,000 jobs lost in September and a financial crisis upending Wall Street, everyday people are hurting.

The Sununu ad begins "Cut.  Snip.  Save.  Prosper."  Yet John Sununu's record of standing steadfastly with George Bush on failed economic policies has run our economy into the ground and made it harder for New Hampshire families and small businesses to make ends meet.  Sununu has stood with Bush to double our national debt to almost $10 trillion, protect billions in tax giveaways to Big Oil and give tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas.

"If John Sununu is only talking to oil and drug company executives, then maybe he's hearing that people are prospering," said Kate Bedingfield, communications director for Jeanne Shaheen for Senate.  "But if he's talking to families and small business owners and employees in New Hampshire, he's hearing that the Bush-Sununu economy has made it harder for people to get by.  So we'd like to know from John Sununu: who is prospering right now?"
