(Manchester, NH) – While John Sununu claims to fight for women and working families, his record tells a different story. During his time in Washington, Sununu has consistently voted for Wall Street, oil and insurance companies and the Bush agenda, and against the interests of New Hampshire's working women and families.
"John Sununu is ready with a helping hand for Wall Street, but he has done nothing to help women and working families in New Hampshire," said Kate Bedingfield, communications director for Jeanne Shaheen for Senate. "The Sununu record is clear: Sununu voted with insurance companies and against women looking for fairness and affordable health care. Sununu voted for billions in tax breaks for oil companies, but against raising the minimum wage for New Hampshire's working women. And while working families struggle with the high cost of health care, John Sununu told New Hampshire to stop complaining."
"Governor Jeanne Shaheen will be an advocate for women and working families – not Wall Street executives – in Washington."
