Madeleine Albright: My Friend Jeanne

When I became the first female Secretary of State in 1997, another tenacious woman a few states to the north was breaking her own glass ceiling: Jeanne Shaheen, serving as New Hampshire’s first elected woman governor. A decade later, she smashed another by becoming its first female Senator.

I believe women are strengthened by helping each other – so making sure Jeanne wins reelection is important to me.

Jeanne – the only Democrat New Hampshire has sent to the Senate in 30 years – has championed women and the middle class. She led the fight to renew the Violence Against Women Act and is working tirelessly for a new paycheck fairness law to empower working women.

Please, join me in supporting Jeanne.

With your help, we’ll return another inspiring female leader to Washington to keep our country moving in the right direction.
