**At debate, opponent Corky Messner denied that Granite Staters have pre-existing conditions**
Manchester, N.H. – Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s campaign manager Harrell Kirstein released the following statement following today’s debate with the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council.
“No one fights harder for Granite Staters than Jeanne Shaheen. Working across the aisle, she helped lead negotiations to craft a small business aid program that has helped more than 24,000 New Hampshire businesses during the COVID-19 crisis and assisted 206,000 hard-hit Granite State workers in staying on the payroll. Senator Shaheen also delivered a tenfold increase in opioid funding for treatment and prevention in our state.”
“A self-interested carpetbagger, ‘Colorado Corky’ Messner is the starkest possible contrast from Senator Shaheen. During the debate, he presented a dangerous vision for the country, calling to repeal the ACA and throw more than half a million Granite Staters with pre-existing conditions off their health care, pushing for Supreme Court justices that would overturn Roe v. Wade, and opposing additional COVID relief for New Hampshire. Granite Staters know they can trust Jeanne Shaheen to work across the aisle and make a difference for their families, and she will continue to fight for them, no matter what.”
