Dover, N.H. – Teamsters Local 633, representing more than 4,700 New Hampshire workers, endorsed Senator Jeanne Shaheen for re-election today. At the Dover UPS facility’s shift launch, Senator Shaheen greeted workers, and the Teamsters highlighted her lifelong commitment to New Hampshire’s working families and her efforts in the Senate to make a difference for Granite State workers, especially during the pandemic.

“Every Granite Stater deserves a good job and affordable health care, and I will always fight to protect New Hampshire’s workers and their families,” said Senator Jeanne Shaheen. “In the Senate, I’ve been focused on ensuring our workers have the protections they need to safely do their jobs in the middle of the pandemic. New Hampshire communities are still hurting, and I’m fighting for another relief package that delivers federal resources to restore our economy and create new jobs, while ensuring Granite Staters are healthy with a robust testing program to help us keep people safe. I’m honored to have the support of the working men and women of Teamsters Local 633, and look forward to working together to make a difference for working families across the state.”

“As Governor of New Hampshire and now as our Senator, Jeanne Shaheen has always stood up for Granite State workers and worked across the aisle to achieve real results,” said Jeffrey Padellaro, Principal Officer of Teamsters Local 633. “Senator Shaheen understands the challenges facing workers today, and that’s why she fights to protect our rights to collectively bargain, to lower health care costs, and to raise the minimum wage. Ever since she was Governor, she has championed the expansion of vocational training and apprenticeship programs that train workers in new skills and connect them to good-paying jobs. Her record speaks for itself, and we know we can always count on her to fight for us in Washington.”

In the Senate, Jeanne Shaheen has worked across the aisle to make a difference for New Hampshire’s workers, strengthening the economy and helping to create good-paying jobs. She has consistently fought for policies that protect collective bargaining and union organizing rights, opposes right-to-work efforts and all forms of discrimination in the workplace, and is a co-sponsor of the PRO Act, which would strengthen union rights and toughen consequences for violations of workers’ rights. She has delivered millions of federal dollars for infrastructure projects that have created thousands of jobs in the state and has led bipartisan efforts to lower health care costs, raise the minimum wage, create a federal family leave policy, and expand vocational training and apprenticeship programs.

During the pandemic, Shaheen has been in constant contact with workers across New Hampshire and has continued to call for protections to keep frontline workers safe and healthy, increased funding for PPE and testing, and unemployment and rental assistance.
